Fog After Your Footsteps
A Ghazal of Rain, Memory and Vanishing Light
By heasb002Published 5 months ago • 1 min read

This ghazal lives between memory and disappearance. Wrapped in fog, rain, and fractured reflections, it explores the fragile remains of love after departure. The beloved is no longer fully present, yet traces of them continue to shape the world like a lingering scent after rain.
You left—and fog devoured every road ahead,
My heart rained endlessly, chasing your voice instead.
The lamp of memory trembled in the winter air,
Night breathed through the absence your eyes no longer share.
In the mirror, my silent sorrow slowly cracked apart,
Time collapsed gently upon my lonely heart.
Your fragrance still lingers within the rain somehow,
As though someone like you just passed here now.
