Flowers

To sit with you in a field of flowers,

Lay back, my head in your lap,

Your hands in my hair.

As we watch the cotton clouds,

Paint transient murals,

Across the expansive blue sky.

To sit in silent companionship with you,

With the buzzing of hungry insects,

The breeze amongst the leaves,

Our soundtrack.

To simply sit with you.

Amongst the flowers.

Would be surreal.
