Flower Man

"Grow on me and I'll grow on you"

Caramel coffee skin scarred and stunning,

Flower face sunny and cunning.

Led to the mind's treasure map,

questions gingerly unwrap.

Personality is beginning to flirt and shine,

and complexion is quite ready to wine and dine.

Emotions are deserving of a thorough massage,

as memories are shy and attempt to camouflage.

"Grow on me and I'll grow on you,"

says the earth, without much overly ado.

In the gentle, grubby dirt where the worms hide,

where roots grow together, let us abide.

Root-strong and headstrong too,

a rite of passage, bursting through.

Belly laughing so hard that the petals rain down,

only to shrivel in the sun's uncaring frown.
