Flesh and Blood

a horror piece of poetry

Flesh and Blood

the blood poured down my face,

thick and hot.

i held my bruised hands to my scalp,

i couldn’t make the bleeding stop.

what have I done this time?

feeling like I was holding myself together,

i bandaged myself back up.

wrapping layer upon layer of gauze to my bloody scalp.

the damage was already there.

a self-inflicted injury I am aware.

would anyone even care if I wasn't here?

I have read a few people's posts in regards to this writing prompt challenge and I'd love to see some more!

Please feel free to comment on the original post or this one to make sure I see it as I will be picking my favourites from the month of October. I was hoping to find one for every prompt. Do one or do them all! Thanks for reading everyone.

I'd definitely care. And damn, those scalp wounds bleed, don't they?
