Flaw Into Fire
Unhurried and without asking for anything in return

Their lips pressed gratitude into every inch of me.
Breathing thank you, over and over again
Into every scar and curve.
Into every space I once resented.
Adoring the body I had spent years waging war against.
Kissing away years of self-loathing.
Turning doubt into desire, flaw into fire.
Igniting parts of me I thought were long dead
Until their lips burned through every insecurity.
Reverence melting the shame I once carried.
Tracing paths over the skin I once cursed.
Until I was nothing but warmth beneath their touch.
Their lips wandered across the ruins of my skin.
Delicately and deliberately.
Gathering all of the ashes
Claiming all of the broken pieces.
Turning the remnants of my battles into passion and surrender.
Leaving me bare, raw, and rewriting the story I believed about myself.
