Five years ago, I lost you.

It was a flash before my eyes,

I couldn't even blink.

Couldn't hear a sound from you.

You were just a memory I kept close,

I didn't even know if you were alive.

Five years today, I finally found you.

You were not just a memory no more,

But a reality.

I could hear you again and,

Finally, know that you're still alive.
