CW: Alcoholism

walking in the late of night

the streets empty

and quiet

we're meeting up halfway

your dad’s an alcoholic

you needed a place to stay

bought a coffee and a soda

I knew they’d come in handy

we had nerves to settle

and few things brought us pleasure

we were young then

still are

but there’s much to be said about the lives we’ve led

the weight placed upon us at such young ages

our stories so similar yet so different

at times we've been reflections of each other

but we shattered the mirror

love poems
