Firelight, Wine & You

Date Night, Done Right.

By Jessie WaddellPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Picture you,

Picture me,

Pizza on the floor,

A little tv.

A quiet night in,

Lights down low,

Firelight flickers,

A smooth Merlot.

A playful touch,

A sweet embrace,

A little tease,

A hint of chase.

A dance we've danced,

A hundred times,

Maybe its the music,

Maybe it's the wine.

A face so familiar,

Now looks new.

A perfect night,

Just us two.

And I wonder if,

I could steal a kiss,

A chance to take,

Or maybe miss.

Two separate halves,

Together whole,

A lifetime of love,

The ultimate goal.

So hold me close,

As it grows late,

A perfect end,

To a perfect date.
