You're my fire exit

Fire Exit

When thoughts try to burn my soul,

In suffocating air, I tend to lose control,

I run towards you,

My fire exit, a good escape,

Wrapped in your arms, soothes my burns,

being held in your arms is my favourite place

You’re my fire exit, my safe space.

About the Creator

Piku - fragments_of_me🌻

I write when my heart is too full and my mind too restless. Words may not always come out perfect, but they are raw, real, and mine. Through poetry and prose, I try to capture what I feel, hoping someone, somewhere, might feel it too.
