Even If It Is Backwards

Finding Yourself

Normally I do not explain a challenge, but a quick point out; My poem chosen the one I chose to do backwards. I did this because I felt It had more in pact when read that way. It first shows a women talking about her negative side turning into a more positive pov, after losing herself in someone-She found herself in all the heartbreak.

Leaving your mistakes and I, to haunt you like demons.

You’re wide awake.

When I sleep soundly at night and I’m dreaming.

Now that you’ll reap, the parts of me that grew back, I get to keep.

The saying goes, you reap what you sow.

For it was this path you were the one paving.

Not an ounce of sympathy called out for your saving.

The acid rain fell from your scalp.

As she walked away from your screams of pain and crying for help.

Drenching you with acid taste and melting away your layering and false sense of humanity.

A revelation of who you were the whole time came rumbling; and all showing itself like the perfect storm.

Fell from your pockets.

All you hid, including your insecurity in deepest form.

When that ladder broke from under your feet.

How’s it feel to feel defeat?

Just to take another step up your latter.

You proudly served her up on a platter.

Sealing her soul with a kiss.

You were a dark endless abyss.

You were the endless void.

Yet all along, you were living with an intense sense of inferiority.

Making you feel a false sense of security.

Was it making her feel undeserved?

Losing what she lost was painful and left her feeling unbalanced and unnerved.

But that is no way for any type of remedy.

She wonders if she could make them the enemy.

Easy to find, but nothing that could found in a favorite song.

What she had in front of her all along.

Especially after it’s all become so clear.

Then why when putting it into action bring on such fear.

Something so simple, when it is you hear.

Was as easy as owing noone but herself, an explanation.

Until what came to her revelation.

You could say getting it back made her obsessed.

Getting it back was all time-consuming.

All of it to only be left with a small amount of something she once possessed.

And to all the chances she has given.

Here’s to the life she knows is worth liven.

Just wouldn’t match or be in affiliation,

Any other explanation

Sometimes she wonders if someone sold her soul.

Yet a void carries her through the days making it hard to feel whole.

Achieving more than any-ones fare share.

There was very little she couldn’t do once her mind was made up and set on a goal.
