Here I am

Here we are

The first night together in person

Many nights already spent over a video call

But none of those experiences match this

Not even in the slightest

We spoke of how we imagined this

The actual moment is beyond that and more

Everything is heightened

The energy we share is an electric storm

Lightning bolts scatter about our entwined bodies

Your breath is heavy and short

You sleep soundly in my arms

I am so excited I can’t help but lay awake

Letting my thoughts wonder and play

I admire the lines in your face

Looking upon your shoulders in awe

So much you have carried there

I trace the scars on your arms

Lightly with my fingertips

So many stories in these marks

Such a remarkable man

Such a gentleman

A king

My king

Taking me as his goddess and his queen

Together we freely share our souls, minds, and bodies

We confess we have never been able to do that before

This freedom we share is nothing like we have ever tasted

A flavor so new yet so familiar

One we have shared in our past lives

Yet we didn’t know what it was until we met each other again here

For thousands of years we have each had our own revolving doors of lives

Yet we always find one another

Opening doors until we see each other

Together since the beginning of time

Not a twin flame

Made of the same flame

We can feel it when our foreheads meet

We can feel it when our centers touch

We can feel it in our sweet kisses

We can feel it in our sleep

Even when we are apart

We feel the flame burning strongly in our hearts

That fire forged a key long ago

Together we did that

Branding it with an infinity symbol

Knowing we would find each other

Time and time again

Bringing each other the key

One time you would have it

The next time I would have it

It unlocks the door within each other

The door that leads to home
