FILLER

2-17-25

Love is..

the filler that connects,

every empty space,

the cracks in the walls,

our every trace.

It is..

the breath in the lungs,

the thought of loved ones,

near and far,

separated by distance,

by time,

by regret.

Love is..

the letters written by hand,

stored in dusty attics,

collecting dust,

as if adding weight,

to the feelings sought.

It is..

honey in a teacup,

shared over a conversation,

about...

absolutely nothing!

Love is..

a fleeting moment of eternity,

shared over years,

as it is squoze of every bit

by the imminent press of time.

It is..

a silly random note

found in a sandwich bag

lovingly prepared for lunch.

Love is..

a child.

a song.

a memory...

and scars.

It is..

a bullet,

taken for a friend,

sometimes real,

hopefully just metaphorically.

Love is..

unexplainable,

illusive,

but it is..

Always!
