Who is it behind that mask?
A face I've never seen
A reflection I have never known
For fear of being seen
You played your part that was a lie
You acted out the scenes
All along seeking to belong
For fear of being seen
You gauged yourself by others works
Your envy a new shade of green
You buried a treasure that's well beyond measure
For fear of being seen
You follow along just to get along
Though you don't understand what it means
You crave real connections with little exceptions
Except for your fear of being seen
You hide yourself day and night
Little peace of mind between
Who could ever comprehend
Your fear of being seen
