A Shakespearean Poem

a world of fantasy

Oh, gentle heart, lend ear to me

As I spin a tale of fantasy

A world of dreams, both bright and bold

In which our souls may find a hold

With quill in hand, I do impart

A world that lies within my heart

A place of wonder, free from care

Where all our hopes and dreams can share

In fair Verona, Romeo sighed

As Juliet in her window spied

Their love, a tale that would be told

Forevermore, in words of gold

But in my mind, a world takes form

Where love's sweet song can ne'er be torn

By fate or foe, or any dread

But blooms forever, sweetly wed

And so it is, dear heart, you see

Why fantasy is so dear to me

For in its world, we find release

And all our troubles find surcease

In Shakespeare's tongue, my tale is told

A world of dreams, both bright and bold

Where hearts are light, and souls take flight

In realms of wonder, fair and bright

So let us revel in our dreams

And let our hearts be free it seems

For in these realms of fantasy

We find a truth, a mystery

And so I bid you, gentle heart

To seek the magic and take part

In worlds of wonder, bright and bold

In which our souls may find a hold.
