Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. That's how most describe what family means to them. Togetherness. Forever. Never apart.

That's how you'll typically see family, right?

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. Always spending every minute together. Never wanting a moment away from one another.

It's what they always tell us. Whenever someone mentions what family "means to them", it's always the same. Togetherness. Forever. Never apart.

Families never bore of one another. Families never talk 'bout one another behind the other's back. Families never abandon each other in times of need.

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. That's what was once believed of me when asked what it was that family "meant to me".

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. A bond that'll never break. A bond that'll couldn't break.

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. Until...

Tragedy strikes. Fights break out. Drama ensues.

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. Until...

Hearts get broken. Sirens arise. Reports get filed.

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. The All-American Dream. A group of individuals who, despite all, fight for one another. A group of individuals who, despite what quirks or flaws they may have, would kill for one another.

Togetherness. Forever. Never apart. Words which failed me heavily.

Family can't be family without one another. Extinction occurs amongst one another when we try to move forward; separate. Family shouldn't be family without one another.

But, I mean... I guess that's why God invented friendships.
