fame

might be lonely

it's not the stars,

but the syncophants

the best guess is

you really didn't know

about the shade the entourage

was throwing

I'm very sorry

that I blamed you

it was pretty horrendous

at the time

like being back in school

and the mean girls gang bangin

with permission

it was lonely

I was furiously wounded

and terribly unfair

it took me years to realize it

left a bitter taste for awhile

we're old folks now

both of us

I remember you fondly

you were quite kind to me

I enjoyed the small and quiet time we had

and don't regret it at all

anymore
