Like a stage performance under the moonlight's glow
A happy mask adorned, concealing wounds and woe
A smile blooms like a rose at dawn's first light
Deceiving the senses, a mirage that beguiles our sight
Behind the echoing laughter, a heart-rending moan resides
Sorrow masked by the rosy hue on blushing tides
Emptiness lurks in the wandering heart's corner
Seeking a glimmer of truth, amid fleeting joy's honor
Hopes buried in the gloomy depths of night
Haunted by shadows of the past's deceptive plight
Like a flickering candle, illuminating truth's part
Yet extinguished by gusts of falsehood's dark art
O you who revel in temporary euphoria's sway
Why adorn your life with deceit's fell array?
Why not open your eyes to true happiness' shine?
Where sincerity and devotion are keys divine?
Is it not more beautiful to shed that mask of pretense?
Allow true joy's radiance to fill your soul's expanse
Breathe in the fresh air of truth's sweet fragrance
Embrace the genuine bliss that time cannot entrance
Lesson and Meaning:
This poem teaches us not to be seduced by false and illusory happiness. True happiness can only be attained by shedding the mask of pretense and accepting life as it is, with sincerity and wholehearted devotion. Genuine happiness is not limited by time and will not fade away; it will continue to emanate from a soul filled with truth.
