Falling lights light up the sky

You in theory ask a question why

What happened to trigger this

War amed at them and us with a kiss

Sharpe measures explode into a building

For some of us where still healing

What was the cause the purpose

Some just sit in silence some cuss

For we let another thing happen where we turn to greed

We suffer some of us feed

Off the news that something big will happen

Stock market up and down some get rich some lose some are clapping

Another war started from another country that doesn't even care about us

We all want to live for a purpose

But we wage things that are far different

What can they do but drain us of oil

Sometimes get my blood in a boil

For we fight for nothing with pushing and shoving

Eventually it will come to a end

But then what will happen

Did we win anything or was it just for pleasure

There's certainty in whats to measure

Falling lights scream into buildings and we'll beings

For us where just trying to ignore it and it's seeings

But we all sometimes feel there something wrong

Like we turn on the wrong song

And danced to it for hours with sweat hitting the floor

Just to see we can't leave there's no door

What I'm trying to say is things haven't been the same since September 11 2001

It's been 25 years and it feels like yesterday when it begun

Just another sick day home from school

Breaking news on the TV a plan has hit the world trade center

For I was like damn thats horrible my mom crying as she enter

I didnt understand what was going on then live on TV a second plane hit right in front of me on the TV like whats going on

I was 13 didnt even know what a terrorist was omg all those people just gone

Then people jumping out the building live on TV I was like what in the world is even going on what is this a movie

For my mom yelled it's a terriost attack omg those poor people please pray for are country

I lived by a airport and all of sudden didnt hear a single plane for hours it was weird

Then the towers one by one fell like it was mirrored

I couldn't believe what I was watching at such a young age I've seen a couple horror movies but this was way worse

People holding there hands over there face running from the ruble I remember this lady with a mask with a pink purse

For it was so vivid on TV that the next day when I went to school thats all we did was watch TV and see what was going on them searching for survivors if there was any

There have been many documentaries many

I've seen most of them and i still feel that ache in my heart

Thats the day I wanted to go help those people even if I was sick and kid

I wanted to help like a friend

It seems like 25 years has just flew by

Sometimes I still cry

And ask God why

For Falling lights could mean alot of things but to me it means war

Cuz when I see those videos thats just what we did to go after them horrible people that caused it and they opened the door

And took credit for something so fucked up you would think why would someone even think of that

And I think we made them remember that

We are a nation of many colors and bravery and resilience

And that we won't put up with that shit like the people of flight 93

And we still to this day dont put up with shit but we have to look at what we have and know we can be better and do better for the ones we call home

All I'm saying it feels like I'm on my own

Like we dont pull together like we did back in the day and it feels sad

I remember when we where a nation that had

Everything and encourage all to be one nation under God

Just now it some how feels odd

sad poetry
