Fallen Angels

A Elegy for Those Who Burned

In the fiery depths, of the infernal land,

The angels fell, like grains of sand.

Their wings aflame, with a burning light,

They plummeted down, from heaven's height.

Their beauty marred, by the scorching fire,

Their voices silenced, by the hellish choir.

They lay in ash, on the burning ground,

Their souls in torment, with no resound.

But once they were, a radiant sight,

With wings so white, and eyes so bright.

Their voices echoed, through the sky,

With melodies sweet, and harmonies high.

Yet pride took hold, and they fell from grace,

Their hearts too lofty, to keep in place.

And so they fell, with wings ablaze,

Their spirits shattered, in the fiery haze.

But let us not forget, these angels fair,

Who fell from heaven, in a blaze so rare.

For they once shone, like stars so bright,

And brought us joy, with their heavenly light.
