Faked

Domestic Violence

Fake eyes

Fake smile

Fake face

Fake laugh

Tired of the act

Let me be free

Seems your abuse has followed me

Stuck in a cage

Trapped in my mind

Chaos too much

Bars closing in

Breath short and hard

Heavy on my heart

Grasping and grabbing

Nothing to hold onto

Feels so alone

Darkness scares me

Sleeping is hard

Daylight a zombie

Still living in fear

Fake eyes

Fake smile

Fake face

What a disgrace

Like a caged animal

But in here it's safe

Scared to be free

Abuse has changed me

Healing is hard

Won't let you win

I have come too far

Fear is a motivator

Stress laid on thick

Safe in my cage

Soon to step out

Fake face won't last

Give me some time

Smile will come back

About the Creator

jessica young

Never know what one is to say about themselves. I am here to let out some thoughts. I am getting older with each breath. I use to love "things"..I hope I can find that again.
