Fake smile

FS :/

I’m about to clock out and never come back to this job.

who made the rules of working five days and being off two?

I have one for cleaning and one for errands I have to do.

I’m expected to smile 8hrs out of the day 40 hours out of the week like nothings wrong,

when the job plays favorites and I am not in that group because my mind is too strong.

Stating the obvious pisses my bosses off, that gives me the short end of the stick,

they think I am crazy because I am not kissing their asses with puckered lips.

I wouldn’t have guessed jobs or being an adult is like being in high school,

where one has to befriend the popular kids to fit in or to be considered cool.

I was told that I wasn’t really friendly or approachable,

but no one says anything about how chaotic this job is and uncontrollable,

the girl who’s always late comes with breakfast never gets reprimanded,

the guy who always curses at customers son is best friends with the bosses son so he can get pass it,

but me not smiling at customers all the time gets me blasted.

People will say well find another job, but will that job not be the same?

Will I have to go through those pointless training videos for 2 weeks that drives me insane?

I don’t see the silver lining and maybe I am being pessimist, but I can only go off my experiences and that’s not even the half of it.

I feel like poetry are the things that we want to say but society will look at us weird for the feelings that we have about something or someone, to make it easier for ourselves and others we just put it in writing.
