Fake Happy

You preach about positivity

But what about your hypocrisy

To some circumstances

Darkness will always win

Call me a doubter

But without living through the hardship

One can not know true happiness

A heart must balance

between life and death

Without one the other will not flourish

The hardest part of the heart

Can also be the same part

that saves your soul

You view the world through

a stain glass window

Stunning beauties of color

masking truthful lense

Raised to turn the other cheek

Preaching forgiveness

But what happens when it's you?

Struck and beaten

Whether it's words or a fist

You're blind to the flags

You're taught to show

only expression of joy

Shunning raw emotions

Captured sin of the broken

And yet, you preach of only positivity

Forgiveness to the mightier power

Selling feelings to the highest bidder

Never to speak up when it matters

Faulty Smiles of anger

Pushing your darkness deeper

Without embracing its fullness

You're chipping away, piece by piece

Rewired your brain to forget

There's No fixing what you can't remember

And That's what makes you,

So dangerous to the core…
