Once in a blue moon,
you find a love like this,
a kiss like summer lightning,
a purple dragon rose.
Once upon a perfect life,
I found you on my birthday,
An unbroken heart,
buying the same cup of coffee.
Once, I had a sleepless dream,
you promised to stay,
We'd live to be one hundred,
buy a house on the dock of a bay.
Once, we picnicked by a ruby lake,
sipped on Romanee-Conti wine,
We danced until our feet were sore,
you promised to be mine.
Once, under some shooting stars,
a total eclipse of our hearts,
A royal Asscher cut diamond ring,
We promised never to part.
