A Poem of Lost Love

In the stillness of the night,

I hear your voice echo in my mind.

But it's just a memory of a love once bright,

Now faded and left behind.

The laughter we shared, the love we made,

All seem like a distant dream.

As I walk this lonely path, I'm afraid

That your love was never what it seemed.

I thought we had it all, a love so true,

But it was just a fleeting fantasy.

Now I'm left with nothing but memories of you,

And the pain that seems to never leave me.

I try to forget, to move on and start anew,

But your memories cling to me like a shadow.

And even though I know we're through,

My heart still longs for the love we once did know.
