Facade Over Feelings...🎭

Place your facade of stoicism on nice and snugly... ✨

It doesn't matter whether you feel like you're suffocating my friend. Just make your comfort look believable. Cracks in the armor are a no-no.

Place your facade of stoicism on nice and snugly... ✨

Be sure to projectile vomit positivity every time that you feel overwhelmed. Then, avoid your feelings and troubles like the plague. They don't matter as much as keeping up appearances and other people's problems and feelings do, my friend.

And whatever you do, never show emotion. It is akin to weakness. You must be more like an AI robot each day, stoic and emotionally immovable even if you are sitting in the front pew at your favorite person's funeral.

Place your facade of stoicism on nice and snugly... ✨

Keep that stiff upper lip, soldier, even if it feels like a million bricks are sitting on top of it along with your esophagus. Don't allow tears to spill from your tear ducts ever, even if that is why they were created.

And lastly, remember to tackle every problem on your own every time. Asking for help/going to therapy is for the weak, although God gave listening, counseling, and problem-solving gifts to many of his children, and you can learn valuable life lessons from hearing others' life experiences.

Author's Note:

The poem above is pure satire that I created for the 'Say It Again' challenge. In my actual day-to-day life, I am a staunch proponent of healthy emotional expression, tears, addressing problems directly, and a person asking for help when they need it. 🤗

Thx 4 stopping by!
