Exchanged

And Reinvented

So

I heard

I’ve been

Erased

Completely

Replaced

By yet another

With a much

More beautiful

Face

Another try

Different taste

Though you swore

Everyday

That

I was unlike

Any other

I guess that

I should have

Known

That

Was a lie

Just another

Drive by

Exchanged like

A worn out

Bulb

Discarded

On the curb

Like

Yesterday’s trash

Forgotten in a

Flash

With no evidence

That I

Existed

And turns out

Seems

Was of my own

Doing

Cause truth be

Told

The pretending

Got old

You know

I would have been

perfect…

If it weren't for all the ways

I let you down

I would be perfect

If not for all the ways

I’ve let

Me down

But I guess

It’s time

For some

Of my own

Reinventing
