Eviscerated: defined
A cut inside like a deep insight
A bright mirror brought to my soul,
Like yours, it smells like a homemade childhood memory no one could've altered or made up
A deep learning without any explaination
You just knew me without a word,
How did you know my heart like it was an extension of your own beat?
I've been eviscerated before, you've been cut up before
Was that a nightmare?
Was the can full of guts
Our slowly numbing minds?
The house that has tried to put us to sleep
To keep me from you,
From my family,
I tried to run from it
To take you and our son far away from
But
It keeps making us feel safe in
That toxic phantasmagorical
Mirror, where
The evidence of the evisceration does not leave a physical scar
But inside our dreams
Like hope,
It's cuts through it like a numbing agent
An excellent evisceration
Yelling, “wake up!”
Won't sever this deep think-tank
But maybe
A can full of
“I love looking at you’s” might.
