Sometimes I ask myself why.
Why do people with good intentions get hurt the most?
Why the good ones?
But then I realize the evil ones are already hurt.
They're used to feeling invalidated,
Defeated,
Ruined,
Wrecked,
Broken,
Lost.
They don't care because that's their norm.
When real love comes their way, they become even more firm,
Tough,
Hard,
Rough,
Mean,
Erratic,
Stiff,
Rude,
Angry.
They have no idea how to react to someone who cares.
They have no way of telling what's actually theirs.
They believe everyone and anyone will leave them, so people do.
They leave them,
But only because they drive them away.
Only because they don't allow them to stay.
They push them away.
They have low expectations,
And they show little to no appreciation.
How dare they?
