Writer's notes: Inspiration for the time capsule haiku came from listing 60s LOOK and LIFE magazines for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Eons ago, both magazines provided their readers and subscribers with amazing photographic essays.
Of course, there was one publication that stood out. It was LIFE's special edition for its thirtieth anniversary focusing on photography.
Amazingly, vintage films and photographs are able to transcend time.
This haiku poem is being submitted to Vocal's Time Capsule Challenge.
According to Vocal media, "Write a haiku about time.
A time capsule is a historic cache of information that is intended to communicate the spirit of that time with people in the future. For this challenge, we are asking you to capture how a haiku can be a vehicle to represent a period of time or express the feeling of time."
Thank you for reading! You are appreciated!

Ooh. Poignant, especially for today’s times.
Great inspiration for your haiku and those old photo essays sure captured the times gone by! Thanks also for the reminder about what this challenge is all about. I think I've gone astray!
