Every Day, Once a Day - Tribute to David Lynch (January 20, 1946 – January 15, 2025)

remember, "I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it, don’t wait for it, just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair or two cups of good hot black coffee. "

Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes: Another for the day only because I read the sad news that David Lynch has died at 78. Tried to do a surreal tribute to the man. I don't think it will ever fully represent how much I have loved his films. Since early days when I watched Twin Peaks, Erasherhead, Wild at Heart and Blue Velvet at too young a teen to properly "get" them, he's always been an inspiration. Includes a quote from Windom Earle interwoven in the piece and one at the end by Agent Dale Cooper.
"No prayers dare enter this frightful maw. Spirits there care not for good deeds or priestly invocations. They’re as like to rip the flesh from your bone as greet you with a happy “good day”. And if harnessed, these spirits in this hidden land of unmuffled screams and broken hearts will offer up a power so vast that its bearer might reorder the Earth itself to his liking." - Windom Earle, Twin Peaks
