Ever So Sure

Scratched and faded

Record on a shelf;

Not more beaten and

bruised than I am myself.

When I looked through the

cracks in the mirror,

I knew that nothing

had ever been clearer;

I want you, I need you here.

In my darkest dreams,

It’s your face that appears

So here I am, waiting for you

So here I am, in so deep for you,

Will it ever return to the way things were?

When we were young and free and ever so sure?
