Ever so in love

from a distance

From the moment he entered the room

I was taken, breathless, and weak

Everyone could see it and feel it

Ever so clearly.

He commanded the room

With just his smile

Ever so brightly.

With the power to win your heart

Ease your mind, and touch you

Ever so gently.

His brown, puppy dog eyes met mine

Pausing for a lingered gaze and a smile

Ever so deeply.

Mesmerized and under his spell

Breathing in tempo with him

And a heart beating to the rhythm

Ever so quickly.

Confident in his element

Raising both hands

With a deep breath, a nod

And then, another smile

So charming, those dimples

Ever so lovely.

Everyone alert, engaged, watching his every move

And with a downward jerk of the head

Gives bounce to those springy brown curls

The orchestra begins with a crash and a boom

Ever so passionately.

I am in love

With the music

The orchestra

And with him

Maestro Gustavo Dudamel

Ever so talented.
