Revolving around likes and emojis,
each moment being captured by a post and a caption.
The most difficult decisions are,
“Oh what filter should I use?” and,
“Should I post this or not?”
Each comment sending shocks of happiness through our bodies.
Each like sending us through moments of extreme bliss.
Addicted to documenting every moment,
posting more than heroin addicts tie rubber around their arms.
More desperate for a follow,
desperate for that feeling.
Wanting to feel wanted,
to feel happy.
Not knowing how to survive,
NEEDING to have others' approval.
Our happiness coming from a screen,
our joy coming from taps and clicks.
The most euphoric feeling we receive,
is received not from family and lovers.
Every bases of our lives revolves around our constant addiction to each picture and post.
Ignoring the outside world,
ignoring our friends and family.
Euphoria is our drug,
and the only way to satisfy it,
to feed it,
is too live our lives through the satisfaction of pleasing others.
