a poem

bein’ with you is like catchin’ the air

in my wide-open hands

not significant enough to be grasped

that invisible energy bindin’ us

together

I know you can feel it too

only somethin’ popped into view

conventions, challenge, crack

of our maladjusted hearts

your skinny fingers are loomin’ over mine

a reflection of you in me

I just feel

pure comfort in it

that we share

a similar soma

swayin’ together in this jigsaw of life

the warmth of your face

tears through my tenderness

diggin’ for emotions I’ve never felt

for so long

we get along

so well

as if we knew each other

forever

and not just nanoseconds

of our meetin’ here
