Eternity

Depression affects every part of my life—even my very happy marriage.

Sometimes I wonder how I can live like this.

Sometimes I think I should call it quits.

But your love keeps me going strong..

And every time I am feeling blue,

I remember what I promised you when I said I do.

I promised you eternity.

I said your love had set me free.

With a smile on my face and hope in your eyes,

Our future it seemed so bright.

So I will bite my tongue.

Keep biting till I taste blood.

Fake a smile and push on through.

Keep holding tight onto your hand.

Even when the light seems dim…

I will remember what I promised you.

I promised you eternity.

Said your love had set me free.

Sometimes I know we’re gonna fight…

But I will still lay close to you all night.

I promised you eternity.

That’s what you’re gonna get from me.
