A Love Beyond Time and Space

In the depths of her heart, a love burns bright,

For a man who's no longer in sight.

Her heart aches for him, day and night,

But he's gone, and she's left to fight.

*

She met him in a dream, it seemed,

A fairytale love, or so she deemed.

They walked and talked, and laughed and kissed,

And in his arms, she found pure bliss.

*

She woke up with a start, alone in her bed,

And memories of him still in her head.

She longed to see him, to touch his face,

To be with him, in his warm embrace.

*

She searched for him, high and low,

In the streets, in the parks, in the glow,

Of the setting sun, and the starry skies,

But he was nowhere to be found, to her surprise.

*

She asked the birds, the trees, the breeze,

If they knew where her love could be.

But they just whispered, in soft tones,

That he was gone, and she was alone.

*

Her heart sank low, her tears fell free,

For her love was lost, and she couldn't see,

How to go on, how to live without,

The man who made her heart shout.

*

But then she remembered, his gentle smile,

His warm embrace, that made life worthwhile.

She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath,

And felt his presence, even in death.

*

For love, she knew, was not just a touch,

Or a kiss, or a feeling, that could clutch,

The heart and soul, with its gentle might,

But something deeper, that shone so bright.

*

It was the memories, the moments shared,

The laughter, the tears, the dreams dared,

The love that transcended time and space,

And left an indelible mark on her face.

*

So she smiled through her tears, and looked above,

To the sky, where he now roamed in love,

And whispered a prayer, for his soul to rest,

And for his love, to fill her heart with zest.

*

And though he was gone, and she was alone,

She knew that her love had forever grown,

In the depths of her heart, where he resided,

And where her love for him would forever be guided.

*

For in the end, she knew that love,

Was not just a feeling, but something above,

A force that bound us, in life and death,

And gave us the strength, to take one more breath.
