And that was the thing about her
She kept surviving
With bullet holes in her lungs
Bandaids loosely hung around
The big cracks on her being
Chapped lips and dry skin
She never let anything get in the way
Resilience was her strong suit
A warrior at heart
Her biggest weapon was her mind
She was everything
All at once
Her eyes sharp as knives
Her hair loud like a roar
Her words loud
Too much for anyone
Who didn't deserve her
She was bursting
With every shade and hue
But shift your gaze ever so slightly
And she was something entirely new
