The day I jumped into a river (after I documented it)
The river ebbed and flowed along my feet
Asking me if courage I had to leap
Into unknown the scary but depth sweet
As the heat of the day started to seep
The blue of the water engulfed me whole
As I gave in to the fervor of day
Awoke from a slumber my sleepy soul
Oh and surprise, it had a lot to say
It asked me why I was so grounded yet
When I could drift in any given tide
Why give yourself the time to sweat and fret
When you could rise high in the sky and glide
I will not be moored at a dull standstill
When I could relish life and time with thrill
