This distance

Have called our bond
“Absurd”
“Spooky”
“Unknowable”
Even
“Nonexistent”
Do you remember our meeting first?
A great force
set a new course
And our charges were reversed
We can’t (at the same time) be in the same space
But, far from cruel
by that same rule
I can physically touch your face
But our connection
A quantum certainty
Is real
Bonds
Like ours
Hold the world
Together
And together we are
Even when separated
by the stars
Maybe
We’ll come together
Again
Or maybe
We don’t have to
For I am always with you
Always entangled
