Part 1: Invocation

-

Twisted psychosis

cystic fibrosis

a criminal act of nature

myopia dilation

-

terminus frustration

a cynical fact of nurture

reclassification

-

de-emancipation

a clinical pact of rupture

proclaim proclaim

we're the stain

this is it, this is rapture

We're the unsane

-

Part 2: The Collapse

-

Stranded standing drowned by thrustration

fenestration declaration, as a crash, fall

the push that becomes the push that fails

is still a push, drowned by thrustration

no easy answers, explanations, sagesse

interpret the innerspective retroviral

pseudointellectual or complicated pioneer

the song remains — disdain, a real drain

redrain, the postulative complaintive

never to be ever understood insaisissable

counterived subliminalation liminalisation

courted as creative lingual flexisation

cometh the hour, cometh the man, coma-th

gather thee to thy bosom, gather thee hitherto

For here lies the basterd enfant terrible/ˌɒ̃fɒ̃ tɛˈriːbl(ə)/

-

Part 3: The Plea

-

Lie, lie, lie in wait, I lie, lie, lie

as the trumpets sound, the marching stomp

deliver me... please

deliver me from the end that awaits me

as I cast a shadow on the life I had

and let the demons of my past take me

Damocles' sword hangs over me, as always

as I breathe, and try to regain...

anything

any semblance of motivation and power

to not let this be my bowing out

there are no words

other than

Deliver me from myself

Author's Notes: Poem. Heavy, mostly autobiographical (mostly they are though, so that's not really surprising).
