High above in the sky
A loud screech is heard.
As a hawk begins to fly.
Looking for the threat
As he circles around
To land on the ground.
Only to see the others’ silhouette.
Quick to take flight
Avoiding the other’s talons.
As they prepare for the fight.
The two are from different clans
Fighting for the same land.
Little did they know
Something else was at hand
With a change of plans.
A third joined the fight
So the two fought together
Both against the third.
When all was over
The two stood tall.
Choosing to share
With those who called this home
Watching over them all.

My To Be Read List
I have been taking some time away from writing. I haven't forgotten about Vocal, the truth is I just have been too busy pursuing other things to write online and honestly, my little family and I just had a really hard month between the flu and a weird eye infection/cold circulating our house. I'm currently sipping some warm peppermint tea because my throat is sore.
