Endlessly Weeping

In the stillness of the night,

My heart aches with a fright,

For I am without your embrace,

And my soul is in a lonely space.

The memories of our love so sweet,

Haunt me like a bittersweet treat,

For though we loved with all our might,

We could not make it through the night.

I try to move on, but to no avail,

Your absence leaves a gaping trail,

And though I know I must let go,

My heart won't let me, and it shows.

So here I am, lost in my pain,

Wishing we could be together again,

But I know that it can never be,

And so I weep, endlessly.
