Endless Remembrance

The pain of losing a loved one,

cuts deeper than any knife.

Their absence leaves an empty space,

a void that never ends in life.

The memories we hold so dear,

of laughter, love, and joy,

Are now tinged with sorrow and tears,

since they left us to deploy.

We try to hold on to their essence,

to keep them close in our heart,

But the reality of their absence,

rips us apart, tears us apart.

We long for just one more embrace,

one more chance to say goodbye,

But death came knocking without a trace,

leaving us to grieve and cry.

The pain may lessen with time,

but the memories remain strong,

Of those we loved and lost,

who will forever live on.

We take solace in the thought,

that they're now in a better place,

Free from pain, and worry, and strife,

with an eternal embrace.

So though we mourn and shed our tears,

our love for them will never die,

For they live on in our hearts and minds,

and will forever be nearby.
