I packed today

A bag of memories

Stars, moons, flowers.

And walked down a lane

Crossing through the bridges of time and leaping over summers shower

I hummed along with the sweeper’s song

Caught my eyes on the same empty window

Where once an old man sat

The voyaging smell of the fried toast

Ran past my nose

I passed though the grey clouds

Which once drenched me

I cut through an ally where

A lady seems to glare

While I reached the end of lane

And thought of every single name

If I’ll be gone will I become a star?

And missed by my neighbors so far?

The wind blew in haste

As I tasted my tears

To jump off the cliff of my mind

And end all the nightmares long

But wind whistled by

And didn’t wished to bid me goodbye

It held my hand in great despair

Saying

“There are souls roaming to get where you are

To breathe more, to live more, to love more

Remember it’s too cold in there

The air you inhale is bitter in grave

If you die before your death

Life ahead would be full of regret”

I closed my eyes and took a step back

Opened my bag of memories

And freed all my thoughts.

When you choose death over life

And commit a suicide

There’s not only one life lost

But of many who have ever loved you

With all their heart.
