We take our bow; it's finally over now.

***

I drive your way; there's nothing else to say.

As the angels spread their wings

and fly.

I close my eyes.

I wish you all the same.

****

You left me; you couldn't stand to wait.

Our love didn't have a

sell-by date.

Just because you're not here,

doesn't mean I don't love you

all the same.

****

Under a setting sun,

she cries for what's yet to come.

Only He is in control,

and He threw it all away.

We throw our hands up.

Asking to be saved.

There's no one listening

when we need it most

So take the final bow

When the clock strikes

our finite time

one will never know

just how grand the illusion is.

Loved the final bow mention as we are all actors on a grand stage of endless performances. Well done.
