Living Through What No One Can See

It's Empty

Let me take you somewhere.

The room has an incredible amount of light almost burning you skin

The lights run 24/7 and are a fluorescent white

There is nothing on the white walls

There is one hole out of which you eat and drink out of

There is no furniture and the room is a constant 70 degrees

You’re naked

There is no sound, no wind

Nothing moves but yourself

The floor and ceiling are mirrors

There are no holes for excretion

Your stool and urine pile up the corners

The stench coils around your body seeping into your skin

The pile is discarded by a machine activated by lack of oxygen

A voice from the loudspeaker yells time to time

Only muttering two letter combinations

“mm ugh, mm, ssrr”

This creates a buzzing bee sensation in your ear

There’s honey dripping from the ceiling

With moths coming out of the hives

The mirrors are one way

But only you can see out

It gives control to your situation

Who knows about how you live but you?

Where are you?

Kidnapped

Of course not

Trapped

Couldn’t be

Stuck in the mind

Maybe

Living with anxiety

Now that sounds more like it.
