Emptiness Within

Soul in Shadow

By ERPublished 3 days ago 1 min read

Sometimes I drink cold water so much,

Knowing that I will catch sinus infection.

Sometimes I eat unhealthy,

Knowing my weak intestines can't handle it.

Sometimes I stand in the heavy rain,

Knowing that the wetness can create cold.

Sometimes I seek the dark to find

A way to silence my troubled mind.

Sometimes I hold broken dreams near,

Knowing they will fade but still holding them.

Sometimes I wish for the final fall,

To escape the silence.

And I loved her so much, knowing that she was my last hope.
