Emotional Overload

Is it or am I cracking up inside?

Emotional Overload

It builds slow

a breath I forgot to take

a room too bright

a silence that screams louder than sound

I set the kettle boiling

then forget why

stand in the middle of the kitchen

holding nothing,

thinking of everything

One word could break me

one look

one song on the radio

and I’m done

I carry too much

and speak too little

every thought presses in

like tight clothes I can’t take off

I laugh too loud

when I want to cry

and when I’m quiet

they ask what’s wrong

like I have an answer

I can say out loud

Some days I wake

already exhausted

before the day begins

before I move

I want to run

but I don’t

I sit

I scroll

I swallow it back

again

Nobody sees the shaking

not outside

but inside

where it matters

There is no fix

just moments of peace

and then

again

the load

You ask how I am

I say I’m fine

but I’m not

I’m tired

I’m full

I’m loud inside

I’m all

too much

and I don’t know

where to put it

Is this an emotional overload?

I need to know
