Elijah

sadness

By someone specialPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Just think of him as resting,

From the sorrows and the tears,

In a place of warmth and comfort,

Where there are no days or years.

Think how much he must be wishing,

That we could know today,

How nothing but our sadness,

Can really pass away.

And think of him as living,

In the hearts of those he touched,

For nothing loved is ever lost,

And he was loved so much.

If we could visit heaven,

Even just for a day,

Maybe for a moment,

All this pain would fade away.

We'd put our arms around you,

And whisper words so true,

That living life without you,

Is the hardest thing to do.

No matter how we'd spend our days,

No matter what we might do,

No morning dawns or evening falls,

When we don't think of you.
