new year

beginning to think un poquito en español *a bit in spanish pero no sé enough but I don't know to fill las partes the parts importantes important*

the streets on New Year’s Day, the residue of vomit and glitter of confetti and piss

only pigeons in Plaza Aníbal Pinto están esperando conmigo *are waiting with me* in the midday sun, in front of poseidon

the honking horns of distant traffic the echoing hiss of the past

a drunk kid is passed out on the bench with his face covered

a black plastic bag shuffles on the sidewalk’s stones
